Events Around Groveland

Groveland is both a small 1840s gold rush town, and a long, wide stretch of forested land (about 26 miles long) connecting visitors with Yosemite National Park. Most events are in town, or very nearby. Some events occur in Pine Mountain Lake (a gated residential development around the lake) only a stones throw from Mary Laveroni Park on the east end of town. This tree shaded park in town is the site of many events also.

The main events visitors enjoy are:

*  The 49‘ers Festival and Chili Cook-off (Mid September)

*  Classic Car Show – Where The Hell Is Groveland (first weekend in June)

*  Mountain Sage’s concert series throughout the summer

*  Golf Tournaments – at the Pine Mountain Lake professional 18-hole course

*  Wine Tasting on Pine Mountain Lake

*  Pine Mountain Lake Airport fly-ins and vintage aircraft show

*  Courtyard Theater and Music productions at the Groveland Hotel (see schedule at www.groveland.com)

And on occasion, impromptu visits by talented musicians who share there love for music at our piano, or using there own instruments in the garden, under the pergola.
